Loom Knit Mistake Rib Scarf
Lion Brand® Martha Stewart CraftsTM/MC Lofty Wool Blend
GAUGE: 6 stitches = about 6 in. (15 cm) BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES: 1. Follow loom manual instructions for SINGLE KNITTING for how to cast on, knit and bind off.
2. For Scarf the loom is configured into a rectangle for stability. All work will be done on one 36-hole piece.

Loom Configuration
Use the following pieces: (2) 36-hole pieces and (2) U-shaped pieces.
Connect pieces to form a rectangle as follows: 36-hole piece > U-shaped piece > 36-hole piece > U-shaped piece.
Insert 11 large pegs into every 3rd hole along one 36-hole piece - 11 working pegs placed.
SCARF
Following loom manual instructions for Single Knitting, cast onto all working pegs.
Row 1: Knit 2, purl 2, knit 2, purl 2, knit 2, purl 1.
Repeat Row 1 until piece measures about 62 in. (157.5 cm).
Bind off.
FINISHING
Thread yarn ends into yarn needle provided with loom and weave yarn ends into the fabric of the Scarf. |
