Exact gauge is not essential to this project.
NOTES:
1. Follow loom manual instructions for SINGLE KNITTING for how to cast on, knit and bind off.
2. For Body Front and Back the loom is configured into a closed semi-circle for stability. All work will be done on 28-hole semi-circle piece. The curved shape of the semi-circle piece does not affect the shape of the finished knit fabric.
3. Loom can be configured into a variety of shapes to suit your preference. If desired, use additional loom pieces to configure loom into any shape, then knit back and forth in rows on just one side of loom.
BODY
Loom Configuration for Body
Use the following pieces: (1) 28-hole semi-circle piece, (1) 12-hole piece, (2) corner pieces.
Connect the pieces as follows: 28-hole semi-circle piece > corner piece > 12-hole piece > corner piece
FRONT
Insert 18 small pegs into center 18 holes on 28-hole semi-circle piece - 18 working pegs placed. Insert small contrast color pegs into connecting holes to hold loom together.
With A, cast onto all working pegs.
Knit 25 rows.
Change to B and knit 8 rows, for a total of 33 rows.
Bind off.
BACK
With B, cast onto all working pegs.
Knit 33 rows.
Bind off.
LEGS (make 4)
Loom Configuration for Legs
Use the following pieces: (1) 36-hole piece, (1) 6-hole piece
Connect the pieces as follows: 36-hole piece > 6-hole piece
Insert a small peg into every hole on 36-hole piece. Insert 4 more small pegs into next four holes on 6-hole piece - 40 working pegs placed.
With B, cast onto all working pegs. Without knitting any rows, bind off all stitches.
FINISHING
Following package instructions, attach safety eyes to Body Front. With red yarn threaded into yarn needle provided with loom, embroider a straight stitch mouth. Seam Body Front to Back, stuffing as you sew. Form 3 loops at the end of each Leg and sew through all layers to secure. Sew Legs to Body. Thread yarn ends into yarn needle and weave in ends.
