NECKLACE
RING
With sharp scissors, cut around 8th ring from canvas center (photo #2). Trim outside edge of canvas to create a smooth edge (photo #3). Cut around 6th ring from canvas center, keeping close to the right hand side for a smooth edge. Trim any uneven inner edges.
Cover Inner Edge of Ring
Thread blunt needle with A and whipstitch around inner Ring, inserting needle through holes in Ring (see photo #4). To end off, insert needle under whipstitches on wrong side of Ring to conceal yarn end.
Fill-In Ring Center
Thread blunt needle with B.
Insert needle from wrong side through one of the holes in Ring. Re-insert needle from right side down, through the hole that is 26 holes away, and pull yarn tight (photo #5).
Continue working clockwise as established, crossing over Ring center and inserting threaded needle into next available hole (photos #6 and #7). Tie a double knot and cut yarn after all holes have been filled.
Cover Outer Edge of Ring
Thread blunt needle with A and whipstitch around outer Ring (photo #8). To end off, hide yarn tail on wrong side of Ring.
Thread blunt needle with A and work running stitch around Ring to hide any remaining 'spokes' as follows:
Insert needle into one hole and then re-insert needle into another hole 2 spaces away. Continue as established, inserting needle into holes, covering two spaces at a time, until all spokes have been covered (photos #9, #10 and #11).
Cut yarn and hide yarn tail under whipstitches.
FINISHING
Attach jump rings to wheel as shown in photo #12 using pliers to pinch jump ring closed. Thread chain through jump rings (photo #13).
