Loom Knit Kimono Jacket

Lion Brand® Wool-Ease®

GAUGE:

18 stitches = about 4 in. (10 cm) in Seed stitch.

When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Making a Gauge Swatch

Row 1:
*Knit 1, purl 1; repeat from * across.

3. For Back, Fronts and Sleeves, the loom is configured into a straight line with a 28-hole semi-circle piece placed on either end for stability. For Bands, the loom is configured into a rectangle for stability.
4. Kimono Back, Fronts and Sleeves are worked in a Seed stitch pattern; the Bands are worked knit one row, purl one row.

Loom Knit Kimono Jacket Reviewed by Timber-Gray Draper on 2014-03-04 *****
This jacket is an easy loom project, but the sleeves turned out a bit bigger then expected. I did it in a 1x-2x size and aside from finding out it's a bit bigger then I am I love this as I did it in a 100% wool and I'm ultra warm and might try to shrink it a bit. Other then that it's lovely, easy and fast to do. I might make another as it's now my favourite jacket and since the wool is more for winter a lighter yarn would be perfect for spring. I also added some pockets for comfort and now it's my style perfect. I just finished it so I'll send photos in later once I can.
