Cushy Fur Cowl
Lion Brand® Fun Fur®
GAUGE: 16 stitches = 4 in. (10 cm) in Stockinette stitch (knit on right side, purl on wrong side) with 3 strands held together. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES: Cowl is worked in Stockinette stitch (knit on right side, purl on wrong side), with 3 strands of yarn held together.

| I agree that this is much easier if it is knitted in the round. I start by only using 2 strands, one of grape and one of orchid,it makes the cowl plenty thick enough, and gives the cowl a depth of color and a shimmer effect. I also make the cowl 44 stitches so that it is large enough to pull up and cover my hair like a hood. This makes a great outfit if used with the fur trimmed muff.
