Loom Woven Blossom Baby Throw

Lion Brand® Baby Wool

GAUGE:

Square = about 13 x 13 in. (33 x 33 cm) with 2 strands of A for the warp and 2 strands of B for the weft.
EXACT GAUGE IS NOT ESSENTIAL TO THIS PROJECT.
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Loom Configuration
Use the following pieces: (2) 36-hole pieces, (4) 12-hole pieces, (4) 6-hole pieces, (4) corner pieces.

Connect pieces to form a large square as follows: 36-hole piece > corner piece > 36-hole piece > corner piece > 12-hole piece > 12-hole piece > 6-hole piece > 6-hole piece > corner piece > 12-hole piece > 12-hole piece > 6-hole piece > 6-hole piece > corner piece.

Insert 40 small pegs along each side of assembled loom pieces - 160 working pegs placed. Place a large peg in upper right hand corner for starting slip knot.

BLANKET
Note:
Follow loom manual instructions on WEAVING for how to set up the warp, weave the weft, and remove weaving from the loom.

SQUARE 1 (make 3)
Use 2 strands of A for the warp and 2 strands B for the weft.

SQUARE 2 (make 3)
Use 2 strands of B for the warp and 2 strands of C for the weft.

SQUARE 3 (make 3)
Use 2 strands of C for the warp and 2 strands of A for the weft.

FINISHING
Following diagram and using yarn needle supplied with loom, sew Squares together into 3 strips of 3 Squares each. Sew strips together to make Throw.
Using needle provided with loom, weave yarn ends into the fabric of the Throw.
