Crochet Cap Sleeve Bolero
Lion Brand® Fun Fur®
GAUGE: 10 dc + 5 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) with 2 strands held tog. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: dc2tog (dc 2 sts together) Yarn over, insert hook into st and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops. Yarn over, insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through 2 loops, yarn over and draw through all loops on hook - 1 st decreased. |
NOTES: 1. Work with 2 strands of yarn held tog throughout this pattern. For the smallest and largest sizes, you will need to wind one of the balls of yarn into 2 separate balls in order to work with 2 strands. For ease in working, place each ball in a small plastic zip top bag. Close the top of the bag, leaving just enough room for the strand of yarn to emerge. 2. Cape is worked in 5 pieces; Back, 2 Fronts and 2 Sleeves. 3. All pieces are worked from the lower edge up to the neck. 4. Decreases (dc2tog) are worked at raglan armhole and at neck. When working Fronts, use different color stitch markers to distinguish the armhole and neck. When instructed to work a dc2tog at a specific edge (armhole or neck), work to appropriate color marker and work dc2tog. 5. The turning chains do not count as sts. Begin working in first dc of each row. Turning chains are chain 2 to keep edges of work neat. 6. If you find it difficult to see individual sts, just insert your hook close to where the st should be.
