GAUGE:
16 stitches = 4 in. (10 cm) in Garter stitch (knit every row)
EXACT GAUGE IS NOT ESSENTIAL FOR THIS PROJECT. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
SCARF
Cast on 22 stitches.
Work in Garter stitch (knit every row) until piece measures 72 in. (183 cm) from beginning.
Bind off.
FINISHING
Weave in ends.

Made this scarf last winter for my oldest daughter...she loves it. Because you use double strands of yarn the scarf is actually very warm.
Will now make another one for my daughter who is moving up north.
Very easy pattern too.
