Diagonal Lace Pullover

Lion Brand« Amazing®

GAUGE:

14 sts = 4 in. (10 cm) in Diagonal Lace pattern.

When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Making a Gauge Swatch

STITCH EXPLANATION:

Diagonal Lace Pattern (over even number of sts)
Row 1 (WS): Purl.
Row 2: K1, *yo, k2tog; rep from * to last st, k1.
Rep Rows 1 and 2 for Diagonal Lace pattern.

NOTES:

1. Pullover is knit in one piece beginning at lower edge of front and working over shoulders down to lower edge of back.
2. Measure pieces along center, not along edges.
3. Diagonal Lace pattern will create a diagonal ‘pull’ around Pullover, including the seams.

Note: End with a WS row means that the last row you work should be a WS row, and the next row that you are ready to work will be a RS row.
