Forest Canopy Cowl
Lion Brand® Wool-Ease® Thick & Quick®
GAUGE:
8 stitches = 4 in. (10 cm) in Garter stitch (knit all stitches in every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
COWL
Note: Circular needle is used to accommodate the number of stitches in bulky yarn. Work back and forth in rows on circular needle, just as if working on straight needles.
Cast on 48 stitches.
Work in Garter stitch (knit all stitches in every row) until piece measures about 8 1/2 in. (21.5 cm) from beginning. Bind off. Cut yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.
FINISHING
Thread yarn tail into blunt needle and sew short ends together. Weave yarn ends into inside of Cowl.

Super Easy...great for gifts around the Holidays. I followed the pattern...and added a removeable homemade silk ribbon flower clip with some vintage buttons as an accent.
