Blue Spruce Scarf
Lion Brand® Tweed Stripes®
GAUGE: One Square = 6 x 6 in. (15 x 15 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES: 1. Scarf is made from a total of 12 Squares, 6 each of Square 1 and Square 2.
2. To keep Squares even, join new color in a different corner on each rnd.

I just completed this scarf. It would have been done ages ago but I am not a fan of changing colors on every round. Then I realized the yarn is already variegated and the caribbean and orchid complement each other so why not just do 6 of one and 6 of the other? Then alternate them just before sewing together. I had already done 6 the way the pattern told me to, then I did the last 6 my way. Then arranged the squares in a way that I found pleasing enough. I am very happy with the outcome.
I love crocheting granny squares but hate all those pieces of yarn on the wrong sides of the fabric.
