GAUGE:
3 V-sts = 4 in. (10 cm), worked with 1 strand each of A, B and C held tog. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Throw is worked with 1 strand each of A, B and C held tog.
THROW
With 1 strand each of A, B and C held tog, ch 97. Row 1: Dc in 5th ch from hook, ch 1, dc in same ch (beg V-st made), *sk next 2 ch, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch (V-st made); rep from * across to last 2 ch, sk next ch, dc in last ch - 31 V-sts and 1 dc on each end. Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), turn, (dc, ch 1, dc) in ch-1 sp of each V-st across, dc in top of turning ch.
Rep Row 2 until piece measures 50 in. (127 cm) from beg.
Fasten off.
FINISHING
Weave in ends.

I made this Afghan as a bridal shower gift & she loved it! It worked up very quickly. I used the pattern as described and it was heavier than I thought it would be. For someone who is more warm blooded, I would recommend using only 2 strands.
