GAUGE:
16 stitches + 32 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Garter stitch (knit every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
SCARF
Cast on 24 stitches.
Work in Garter stitch (knit every row) until piece measures about 65 in. (30.5 cm) from cast-on edge. Bind off.
FINISHING
Thread yarn tails into blunt needle, then weave into Scarf.

I have not knit in a LONG time; this is quite easy once you remember how to cast on and such.
I made it with lavender yarn.
It is quite lovely.
