SNOWMAN
Pom-pom (make 2)
Wrap A around 3 fingers - the more wraps, the fuller your Pom-pom will be. Cut yarn leading from skein. Slide a strand of A under wraps and knot. Clip loops at opposite end. Fluff Pom-pom and trim ends evenly.
FINISHING
Thread 1 strand of A into blunt needle, leaving a long tail. Thread needle carefully through centers of Pom-poms. Knot each end of A close to center of Pom-poms. Trim ends.
Buttons
Thread 1 or 2 strands of E about 3 in. (7.5 cm) long into blunt needle. Thread needle carefully through center of one Pom-pom. Trim ends.
Arms
Thread 1 strand of E about 6 in. (15.5 cm) long into blunt needle. Thread needle carefully through center of Pom-pom with Buttons, perpendicular to Buttons. Trim, leaving ends about 1 in. (2.5 cm) long.
Nose
Cut 1 strand of F about 12 in. (30.5 cm) long. Fold strand in half, knot just below fold. Thread ends of D into blunt needle. Thread needle through center of top Pom-pom, from front to back. Knot ends together close to center of Pom-pom. Trim ends.
Scarf
Cut 1 strand of each A, B and C about 18 in. (46 cm) long. Knot strands together about 1 in. (2.5 cm) from end. Braid strands, knot ends. Wrap scarf around Snowman and knot. Trim both ends to desired length. |
