GAUGE: 1 square = about 9 in. (23 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

| I am making this for a family member, using the same colors of Homespun shown in the pattern. I love the shades of this yarn even though it's tricky to use because it is a chenille type of fiber and the crochet hook can get caught easily as I work. I always tie the ends of the yarn so they won't unravel before I can work them in when I'm done with a motif. No mistakes in the pattern-it's easy and beautiful. Can't wait to see the end result! Thank you Lionbrand!
