Felted Holiday Snowflake

Lion Brand® Fishermen's Wool®

GAUGE:

Exact gauge is not essential to this project.

SNOWFLAKE
Ch 6, sl st to join to form ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, 12 sc in ring, join with sl st in top of first sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, (sc in next sc, ch 5, sk next sc) around; join with sl st in top of first sc.
Rnd 3: Ch 1, (sc in next sc, make 5 sc in ch-5 sp) around, join with sl st in top of first sc.
Rnd 4: Sl st over to 3rd sc in ch-5 sp, ch 1, (sc in 3rd sc of next ch-5 sp, ch 7, sk next 5 sc) around; join with sl st in top of first sc.
Rnd 5: (Work 4 sc in next ch-7 sp, ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook, 3 sc in same ch-7 sp) around.
Fasten off.

FINISHING
Weave in ends.
Felting
Fill sink with hot water and a small amount of liquid soap (any hand or dish soap will work). Submerge Snowflake in soapy water. Wearing rubber gloves, hold Snowflake with one hand and rub surface of knit fabric with your other hand, working over entire surface until the stitches begin to lose their definition. Rinse gently to remove soap residue. Allow to dry.
Tie a length of yarn to Snowflake for hanging loop.
