Pom-Pom Baby Bird
Lion Brand® Vanna's Choice® Baby
GAUGE: Exact gauge is not essential to this project.

|
BIRD
Wrap main color of yarn around 3 fingers - the more wraps, the fuller your pom-pom will be. Cut yarn. Wrap a contrast color of yarn around previous color 6 times. Cut yarn. Slide a doubled strand of main color of yarn under wraps and knot. Clip loops opposite knot. Fluff pom-pom and trim ends, leaving contrast color strands longer than main color for wings.
Cut 2 small triangles of felt. Glue into place for beak. Allow to dry. |

This is a fun pattern, but the chicks come out a bit scraggly. I will try on a pom pom maker for more uniform look.
I made mine and attached googly eyes and used pipe cleaners to make the beaks and little feet.
very cute.
