Amigurumi Dove Sachet

GAUGE: Exact gauge is not essential to this project.
STITCH EXPLANATION: | sc2tog (sc 2 sts together) Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook - 1 st decreased. |
NOTES: 1. Head, Body, and Beak are worked in continuous rnds; do not join and do not turn at beg of rnds. A marker is used to indicate the beg of rnd. Move marker up as each rnd is completed.
2. Sachet is stuffed with fiberfill stuffing and dried lavender. After partially stuffing piece with fiberfill, add lavender to center of the stuffing, then finish stuffing with fiberfill. The lavender should be surrounded with fiberfill.

HEAD AND BODY
Beg at top of Head, with A, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 4 sc in first ch. Place marker in first st for beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each sc around - 8 sc at the end of this rnd.
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc; rep from * around - 12 sc at the end of this rnd.
Rnd 4: *2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc; rep from * around - 16 sc at the end of this rnd.
Rnd 5: *2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc; rep from * around - 20 sc at the end of this rnd.
Rnds 6-10: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 11: *Sc2tog, sc in next 3 sc; rep from * around - 16 sc at the end of this rnd.
Rnd 12: Sc in each sc around.
Begin to stuff piece with fiberfill and lavender and continue to stuff as work progresses.
Rnd 13: Work 2 sc in first 4 sc, sc in last 12 sc - 20 sc at the end of this rnd.
Rnd 14: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc) 4 times, sc in last 12 sc - 24 sc at the end of this row.
Rnd 15: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc) 4 times, sc in last 12 sc - 28 sc at the end of this row.
Rnd 16: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc) 4 times, sc in last 12 sc - 32 sc at the end of this row.
Rnds 17-24: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 25: (Sc2tog, sc in next 3 sc) 4 times, sc in last 12 sc - 28 sc at the end of this rnd.
Rnd 26: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 27: (Sc2tog, sc in next 2 sc) 4 times, sc in last 12 sc - 24 sc at the end of this rnd.
Rnd 28: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 29: (Sc2tog, sc in next sc) 4 times, sc in last 12 sc - 20 sc at the end of this rnd.
Rnd 30: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 31: (Sc2tog) 4 times, sc in last 12 sc - 16 sc at the end of this rnd.
Rnd 32: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 33: (Sc2tog) 5 times, sc in next 2 sc, (sc2tog) twice - 9 sc at the end of this rnd.
Rnd 34: 2 sc in first sc, sc2tog, 2 sc in next 4 sc, sc2tog - 12 sc at the end of this rnd.
Fasten off.
WINGS (make 2)
With A, ch 11.
Row 1: 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across - 11 sc at the end of this row.
Rows 2 and 3: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across to last sc, 2 sc in last sc - 13 sc at the end of Row 3.
Row 4: Ch 1, turn, sc in first 4 sc, hdc in next sc, 2 hdc in next sc, hdc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in last sc - 15 sts at the end of this row.
Row 5: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in first st, sc in next 5 sts, sl st in next st, sc in next st, 2 hdc in next 2 sts, sc in next st, sl st in next st, sc in last 3 sts - 18 sts at the end of this row.
Row 6: Ch 1, turn, sc in first 3 sts, sl st in next st, sc in next st, hdc in next st, 2 hdc in next 2 sts, hdc in next st, sc in next st, sl st in next st, sc in next st, hdc in next 2 sts, sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in last st - 21 sts at the end of this row. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
BEAK
With B, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 4 sc in first ch.
Place marker in first st for beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc; rep from * around - 6 sc at the end of this rnd.
Rnd 4: Sc in each sc around.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
FINISHING
Lightly stuff Beak and sew to face. With B, embroider French knot eyes. Sew Wings to sides of Body.
Hanging Loop
From RS, join A with sl st on back of Dove, just below neck. Ch 15 for hanging loop. Join end of ch to Dove in same place. Fasten off.
Weave in ends.
