STITCH EXPLANATION: | sc2tog (sc 2 sts together) Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook - 1 st decreased. |
NOTES: 1. Two identical Leaves are crocheted, then joined with a round of crochet.
2. Sachet is stuffed with fiberfill stuffing and dried lavender. After partially stuffing piece with fiberfill, add lavender to center of the stuffing, then finish stuffing with fiberfill. The lavender should be surrounded with fiberfill.

LEAF (make 2)
Beginning at base, with A, ch 21.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 7 ch, (sc2tog) twice, sc in last 8 ch - 18 sc at the end of this row.
Rows 2-7: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in first sc, sc in next 6 sc, (sc2tog) twice, sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in last sc.
Row 8: Ch 1, turn, sc in first 7 sc, (sc2tog) twice, sc in last 7 sc - 16 sc at the end of this row.
Row 9: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in first sc, sc in next 5 sc, (sc2tog) twice, sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in last sc.
Row 10: Ch 1, turn, sc in first 6 sc, (sc2tog) twice, sc in last 6 sc - 14 sc at the end of this row.
Row 11: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in first sc, sc in next 4 sc, (sc2tog) twice, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in last sc.
Row 12: Ch 1, turn, sc in first 5 sc, (sc2tog) twice, sc in last 5 sc - 12 sc.
Row 13: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in first sc, sc in next 3 sc, (sc2tog) twice, sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in last sc.
Row 14: Ch 1, turn, sc in first 4 sc, (sc2tog) twice, sc in last 4 sc - 10 sc.
Row 15: Ch 1, turn, sc in first 3 sc, (sc2tog) twice, sc in first 3 sc - 8 sc.
Row 16: Ch 1, turn, sc in first 2 sc, (sc2tog) twice, sc in last 2 sc - 6 sc.
Row 17: Ch 1, turn, sc in first sc, (sc2tog) twice, sc in last sc - 4 sc.
Row 18: Ch 1, turn, (sc2tog) twice - 2 sc.
Row 19: Ch 1, turn, sc2tog - 1 sc.
Fasten off.
FINISHING
Layer one Leaf on top of the other. Join A with sl st through both thicknesses anywhere along edge.
Round 1: Ch 1, working through both thicknesses, sc evenly around edge of Leaves, working 2 sc in each point and stuffing with fiberfill and lavender before finishing the round. Fasten off.
Hanging Loop
Join B with a sl st at end of Leaf. Ch 15, join end of ch with sl st , Ch 15 for hanging loop. Join end of ch to Leaf with a sl st in same place. Fasten off.
With B, embroider straight st veins on Leaves.
Weave in ends.

| I'm a knitter. That being said, I found this pattern very easy for me, a beginning crocheter! I made them for Christmas gifts and filled them with lavender from my herb garden. Everyone loved them! This is a great quick, easy, rewarding project. Thanks Lion Brand Yarn!
