EYE CIRCLES (make 2)
With A, ch 2. Rnd 1: Work 8 sc in first ch; join with sl st in first sc.
Fasten off. Set aside Eye Circles.
HEAD AND BODY
Beg at top of Head, with B, ch 2. Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch. Place marker in first st for beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed. Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each sc around - 12 sc at the end of this rnd. Rnd 3: *2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc; rep from * around - 18 sc at the end of this rnd. Rnd 4: Sc in first 3 sc, 2 sc in next 3 sc, sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next 3 sc, sc in last 3 sc - 24 sc at the end of this rnd. Rnd 5: Sc in first 3 sc; working through back loops only, (sc2tog) 3 times; working through both loops, sc in next 6 sc; working through back loops only, (sc2tog) 3 times; working in both loops, sc in last 3 sc - 18 sc at the end of this rnd. Rnds 6-8: Sc in each sc around.
Following package directions, attach safety eyes, through Eye circles, to face. Rnd 9: *Sc2tog, sc in next sc; rep from * around - 12 sc at the end of this rnd.
Begin to stuff piece and continue to stuff until piece is complete. Rnd 10: Work 2 sc in each sc around - 24 sc at the end of this rnd. Rnds 11-15: Sc in each sc around. Rnd 16: *Sc2tog, sc in next 2 sc; rep from * around - 18 sc at the end of this rnd. Rnd 17: *Sc2tog, sc in next sc; rep from * around - 12 sc at the end of this rnd. Rnd 18: (Sc2tog) 6 times - 6 sc at the end of this rnd.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Weave tail through sts of last rnd and tighten to close opening. Knot end.
WINGS (make 2)
With C, ch 2. Rnd 1: Work 4 sc in first ch. Place marker in first st for beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed. Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each sc around - 8 sc at the end of this rnd. Rnd 3: *2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc; rep from * around - 12 sc at the end of this rnd. Rnds 4-8: Sc in each sc around. Rnd 9: (Sc2tog) 6 times - 6 sc at the end of this rnd.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
FINISHING
Sew Wings to sides of Body. With C, embroider straight st beak and eyebrows on face. Cut a 3 in. (7.5 cm) length of B, fold in half to form a loop and tie to top of Head for hanging loop.
Weave in ends.

nice pattern. used felt and beads for the eyes. added a little felt pocket on the back for tube of lip balm (chapstick) for my daughter who loves owls. she put it on her backback and loves it. works up nice and quick.
