Knit Little Bear

Lion Brand® Superwash Merino Cashmere

GAUGE:

Exact gauge is not essential to this project.

STITCH EXPLANATION:

Kfb (knit into front and then back)
An increase worked as follows:
1. Knit the next st through the front loop, but do not remove the st from your left hand needle.
2. Knit the same st once more, this time inserting your needle through the back loop of the st. You will have created 2 loops (sts) on your right hand needle.

NOTES:

1. Bear is knit with small needles to create a dense fabric, suitable for a stuffed toy.
2. All pieces are worked in St st (k on RS, p on WS).
3. All pieces are worked flat for ease in knitting.

Knit Little Bear Reviewed by Kelli Jones on 2012-05-19 *****
I thought this was both fun and easy to make. It knit up so quickly - just two evenings, while watching tv.

I made it for my friends' oldest son, who had just become a big brother. The baby was getting a knit blanket for me and I wanted to be sure to have something for him too. This was a great break after the complicated pattern of the blanket.

He loves it and has named it Mr. McOvens.
