GAUGE:
21 sts + 30 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in St st (k on RS, p on WS); 24 sts + 32 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Body Cable Pattern.
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Shaped Cable Top Reviewed by Eleanor Baglas on 2012-04-26
I think the errors mentioned by the previous reviewer have been corrected. I made a version of this sweater for myself using the suggested super wash merino wool, in black, and a second version for my mother, in "wild berry." I thought the instructions were clear and easy to follow, and I enjoy wearing the sweater. I have found that the super wash merino stretches A LOT when washed, so either wash a knitted swatch ahead of time and adjust stitches and rows; or you can wash and tumble dry on low (drying on low has worked for me so far). I would recommend this pattern to someone with some knitting experience, looking for something to make that they'll actually want to wear.
