Loom Double Knit 2 Ball Scarf

GAUGE:
8 sts = about 4 in. (10 cm)
EXACT GAUGE IS NOT ESSENTIAL TO THIS PROJECT.
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES:
1. Follow loom manual instructions for DOUBLE KNITTING for how to cast on, knit, and bind off.
2. Scarf is worked with 1 strand each of A and B held together throughout.
Loom Configuration
Use the following pieces: (2) 36-hole pieces, (2) U-shaped pieces.
Connect pieces to form a rectangle as follows: 36-hole piece > U-shaped piece > 36-hole piece > U-shaped piece.
Beginning at either end of 36-hole piece, insert a large peg into every other hole until a total of 10 pegs have been placed. Repeat with 10 large pegs across the 2nd 36-hole piece - 20 working pegs placed.
Insert a contrast color large peg in one corner for slip knot. Insert small pegs into connecting holes to hold loom together.
SCARF
Following loom manual directions for Double Knitting, and with 1 strand each of A and B held together, cast onto the 20 pegs.
Knit (with 1 strand each of A and B held together) until almost all yarn has been used.
Bind off.
FINISHING
Following the manual directions and using crochet hook provided with loom, finish the cast on edge. Thread yarn ends into yarn needle provided with loom and weave ends into the fabric of the scarf.
