One Ball Hat
Lion Brand® Jiffy®
GAUGE: 12 stitches = 4 in. (10 cm) in Garter stitch (knit every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

HAT
Following package instructions, make a pom-pom. Set pom-pom aside.
Cast on 60 stitches.
Work in Garter stitch (knit every row) until nearly all yarn has been used. Bind off, leaving a long yarn tail.
FINISHING
Thread yarn tail into blunt needle, then weave in and out of bound-off edge of Hat. Pull yarn tail to gather this edge for top of Hat, knot securely.
With same tail, seam ends of rows to form tube.
Tie pom-pom to top of Hat. Weave in ends.
