GAUGE:
16 sts + 32 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Garter st (k every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES:
Cardigan body is knit in one piece with slits for armholes. Stitches are picked up around the armhole slits for sleeves.

Side to Side Baby Cardigan Reviewed by Teresa Sandler on 2013-02-06
I love this pattern. Very easy and quick. Made one for my nice for her 2nd birthday and now making one for a friends baby shower. I added a crocheted edging in a contrasting color.
