Loom Double Knit Grape Arbor Scarf
Lion Brand® Vanna's Choice®
GAUGE:
8 sts = about 4 in. (10 cm)
EXACT GAUGE IS NOT ESSENTIAL TO THIS PROJECT. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES:
1. Follow loom manual instructions on DOUBLE KINITTING for how to cast on, knit, and bind off.
2. Scarf is worked with 1 strand each of A and B held together.
Loom Configuration
Use the following pieces: (2) 36-hole pieces, (2) U-shaped pieces.
Connect pieces to form a rectangle as follows: 36-hole piece > U-shaped piece > 36-hole piece > U-shaped piece.
Insert 14 large pegs into every other hole along one 36-hole piece. Repeat with remaining 36-hole piece - 28 working pegs placed.
Insert one large contrast color peg into one corner for slip-knot. Insert 4 small pegs into connecting holes to hold loom together.
SCARF
Following loom manual directions for DOUBLE KNITTING, and with 1 strand each of A and B held together, cast onto the 28 working pegs.
Knit (with 1 strand each of A and B held together) until almost all yarn has been used.
