When only one number is given, it applies to all sizes. To follow pattern more easily, circle all numbers pertaining to your size before beginning.

GAUGE:
16 sts = 4 in. (10 cm) in St st (k on RS, p on WS). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION:
kfb (knit in front and back) Knit next st without removing it from left needle, then k through back of same st - 1 st increased.

Bind off. Midi and Maxi Wristers
Next (Inc) Row: K1, kfb, k to last 2 sts, kfb, k1 - 27 sts.
Continue in St st until piece measures about 12 in. (30.5 cm) from beg, end with a WS row. Next Row: Rep Inc Row - 29 sts.
Midi Wrister Only
Continue in St st until piece measures about 14 in. (35.5 cm) from beg. Bind off.
Maxi Wrister Only
Continue in St st until piece measures about 15 in. (38 cm) from beg, end with a WS row. Next Row: Rep Inc Row - 31 sts.
Continue in St st until piece measures about 18 in. (46 cm) from beg, end with a WS row. Next Row: Rep Inc Row - 33 sts.

FINISHING
Beg at hand edge of Wrister, seam sides for 1 1/2 in. (3.8 cm). Leave 2 in. (5 cm) unseamed, then sew remainder of seam. Weave in ends.

I made one of these, and was disappointed in the finished size. In the photo, the model has thin arms, mine aren't. They fit my 12-year instead. The casting on directions I believe are incorrect when it says to only cast on 25 stitches. I had to modify the pattern for 'real women' arms in order for them to fit and be loose like in the picture.
