Snow Bank Gauntlets
Lion Brand® LB Collection® Organic Wool
GAUGE: About 18 sts + 20 rnds = 4 in. (10 cm) over pattern before felting;
About 22 sts + 22 rnds = 4 in. (10 cm) over pattern after felting.
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: MCW (mock cable wrap - over 6 sts) Bring yarn to front of work, sl 6 sts just worked back to left needle, wrap yarn across front of these 6 sts and bring yarn to back of work, sl same 6 sts back to right needle.
M1 (make 1) An increase worked by lifting the horizontal thread lying between needles and placing it onto left needle. Knit this new stitch through the back loop - 1 st increased.
skp Slip 1 as if to knit, knit 1, pass slip stitch over knit stitch - 1 st decreased.
yo A yarn over (yo) creates a new loop on your needle and is worked by wrapping the yarn around your right hand needle. Do not use an existing stitch to make a yarn over. The finished yarn over will leave an open space (like an eyelet) in your knitting - this is part of this design.

NOTES: 1. Gauntlets are knit in the rnd and then lightly felted by hand.
2. Mock cables (no cable needle needed) are created by wrapping the working yarn around a group of 6 sts. When working the next st following a mock cable wrap, carefully pull the working yarn tight to cinch the wrapped sts.
3. Gauntlets can be worked from charts OR from written instructions below.
4. The beg of rnd marker should be a different color than the gusset markers.
