Tweed Hat
Lion Brandฎ Hometown USA®
GAUGE: 7 1/4 single crochet = 4 in. (10 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES: Hat is worked in continuous rounds. Do not join at end of rounds.

Had a lot of fun w/ this one!!! My alterations were to add a little "brim"(2 hdc in each of 9 stitches) in the middle of the front- it was sturdy & looked a little more "masculine". Also, I made this all in one piece (except for the Pom-Pom/tassel on top) so for the ties, I slip-stitched back up the chain. I used a blue "cammo" variegated yarn, so it looked really "cool" the way the colors came together. Also on the ends of the ties, I put 6 sc in the last stitch to make a ball- liked this better than a frayed end for a 9-mth old... All in all, a really fun, fast, easy & versatile pattern!
