Free Crochet Pattern: Eight -Pocket Two-Tone Carryall Tote

Lion Brand® Lion® Cotton
Pattern #: HookedBags
You can never have too many closets or too many pockets. Get organized with this great big tote with places for all your gadgets and essentials. Interesting texture is created by alternating single and double crochet stitches in one row, then working singles in the doubles and doubles in the singles in the next row. Copyrighted materials from the book, HOOKED BAGS, used with permission from Creative Publishing international.

GAUGE:

13 sts = 4" (10 cm) with larger hook BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Eight -Pocket Two-Tone Carryall Tote Reviewed by Kimberly Chapman on 2011-12-16 ****
This pattern is great! I've made this bag a few times, and have even modified the pattern to get different shapes and sizes. It can be a super simple market bag if you make it taller and leave off the button and pockets. It can also be a messenger bag by adding a flap, leaving off the button, and making only one strap that connects on the sides. Both variations get tons of compliments.

My advice is to experiment and just be patient with the assembly - it will be worth it when it is done!
