Image of Bold and Bulky Mini Cardigan
The boldly contrasting borders, patterned sleeve "seams" and gigantic buttons add visual interest and a mod sensibility to this mini cardigan. Worked with bulky yarn on large needles, this cardigan is a high-speed knit. Bust and back darts create a tailored fit, and the sleeves are shaped at both shoulder and elbow. This pattern is from FITTED KNITS by Stefanie Japel, reproduced courtesy of North Light Books.

Bold and Bulky Mini Cardigan

Lion Brand® Wool-Ease® Thick & Quick®

GAUGE:

8 sts and 13 rows = 4" (10cm) in St st on largest needles When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

STITCH EXPLANATION:
