Fabric lining: Measure the inside pocket space of the clutch for the lining, not including the crocheted edgings. Double the height measurement and allow for a ½ in (1 cm) seams on all four sides. Cut a piece of fabric according to your measurements. If using a lightweight fabric, iron fusible interfacing to the WS of the fabric to add support, making it ½ in (1 cm) less on each side. Press and sew the top and bottom seams. Fold the fabric in half with RS tog and sew the side seams. Trim the extra fabric if necessary. Turn RS out and insert the fabric into the clutch. Tack the lining in at the bottom and sides of the purse. Sew the top of the lining to the clutch using an invisible seam.
