GAUGE: 20 single crochet by 17 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) with size J-10 (6 mm) hook BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

| Looks fantastic, but I found it very difficult to work with this yarn. I have knit for 50 years, crocheted for 5 years, and am having a hard time with this. Cannot rip it out more than a row or two without bad tangles. Hard to see stitches, I have had to wear reading glasses, which I do not usually need for any crochet, just to see the stitches through the "fur". I strongly recommend counting stitches for each and every row as losing stitches is too, too easy. Maybe it was not so smart to attempt to make a full-length scarf of this!
