18 St sts + 24 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Rows 1-8: *Knit 2, purl 2, repeat from * to end of row.
Row 9: **Knit 2, knit 2 stitches together, repeat from ** to end of row. – 90 sts

Row 12: Purl

Rows 15-16: Change to B, knit.
Row 17: Change to A, knit
