Pot Holder / Grill Mitt
Lion Brand® Lion® Cotton
GAUGE: 16 st x 24 rows = 4 in [10 cm.] BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES: Editor's note: This pattern is written for 100% cotton yarn. Yarns with synthetic content such as acrylic are not appropriate for this type of application as they can melt.

FINISHING
| The rows that were knit with only one strand are where the mitt is folded. Laying it flat, fold the ends so that
they are on top. | |
| The folded ends will serve as pockets
for the hand and thumb. Using a single strand of
yarn and the large-eyed blunt needle and starting at the fold, sew
each side together. | |

| Pot Holder / Grill Mitt Reviewed by Jennifer Whitlock on 2011-12-18 |

| I love this pattern. it's very simple, but it makes the best little mitt. I've made several in all colors as gifts and everyone loves them. (I drop two of the strands in the middle too, so that it naturally folds in half)
