Gauge is not significant to this project -- the scarf will stretch in both directions.

SCARF
With one strand from each skein, cast on 8 stitches. Knit in garter stitch (knit every row) until yarn runs out. Bind off, weave in ends.

I made one like this but I cast on 10 stitches. Even that was extremely skinny and not as wide as I'd like. Next time I think I'll try 15-20 stitches. Otherwise this is a great pattern and turned out great! I agree with the other review that it's a great beginner's pattern. The finished scarf is nice and warm.
