Lion Brand® Lion® Cotton

GAUGE:

10 sc x 10 rows = 4 in [10 cm x 10 cm] When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Making a Gauge Swatch

NOTES:

  • Potholder is worked with 3 strands of yarn held together throughout.
  • Wind yarn into three separate balls.
  • When starting the colored yarn, match the three strands so that the points where the color changes on each strand is the same as the others.

Easter Egg Hot Pad Reviewed by Lois Thomas on 2011-04-11 ****
I found this difficult to knit with 3 strands of yarn and size 8 needles so i switched to size 11 and it was much easier to make decreases and increases. Cute hot pad!
