Lion Brand® Lion® Cotton
GAUGE:
Exact gauge is not essential to this project.
NOTES:
Cords for potholder are worked with 2 strands of yarn held together throughout; gauge is not critical.
POT HOLDER
With 2 strands A (use both ends of skein), make a 36 in [91 cm] cord, cut yarn and fasten off.
With 2 strands B, make a 12 in [31 cm] cord, cut yarn and fasten off.
With the A cord, tie it in a loose half-hitch knot. One end will be over the top loop and one end will be under the top loop
Bring the loose ends together and tie them.
Sew through the ends of each of the loops so that they are held at an
acute angle and cannot shift.
Weave the B cord around in a circle inside the A piece as pictured, going over where the strands of the original knot go
under. Tie the ends of the piece together and sew.
