Knitted Counterpane Poncho
Lion Brand® Wool-Ease®
GAUGE:
Refer to PDF for gauge. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Knitted Counterpane Poncho Reviewed by ADINA MAMON on 2010-12-09
I made this poncho twice. I used the specified WoolEase yarn for the first one. When I washed it, it stretched out and became way too big. For the second one I used a lightweight wool worsted in order to manipulate the size after washing. The second one turned out great! Tip: Instead of knitting individual triangles, make squares (4 triangles per square) and half-squares to minimize the sewing process.
