DISHCLOTH
With A, ch 32.
Row 1: Hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across - 30 hdc.
Row 2: Ch 2, turn, hdc in each hdc across.
Rep Row 2 until piece measures about 14 in. (35.5 cm) from beginning.
Fasten off.
FINISHING
Edging
Join B with sl st in edge of dishcloth.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc evenly around edge, working 3 sc in each corner; join with sl st in first sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in first sc, *ch 3, sl st in top of last sc made (picot made), sk next sc, sc in next 2 sc; rep from * around, ch about 10 in. (25.5 cm); join with sl st in first sc. Note: For best results, do not sk any sts when working near corners.
Fasten off.
Weave in ends. |

| Instead of making these dishcloths, I made them a little longer and turned them into placemats. I made two light blue with a dark blue border and two dark blue with a light blue border. Turned out really nice! The test one I made was a royal purple with a cream border and it sits on my vanity in my bedroom. So pretty!
