GAUGE:
2 ‘ripples’ = about 10 in. (25.5 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION:
dc2tog (dc decrease) Yo and draw up a lp in next dc, yo and draw through 2 lps twice, yo and draw through all 3 lps on hook.
STRIPE SEQUENCE
*Work 2 rows each with A, B and C; rep from * for Stripe Sequence.
NOTES:
To change color, work last st of old color to last yarn over; yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete st.

Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook (beg ch counts as first dc), (dc2tog) 3 times, 2 dc in each of next 6 ch, *(dc2tog) 6 times, 2 dc in each of next 6 ch; rep from * across to last 8 ch, (dc2tog) 3 times, dc in each of next 2 ch - 8 'ripples'.
