Phoenix Gauntlets
Lion Brand® Cotton-Ease®
GAUGE: 17 sts = 4 in. (10 cm) in St st (k on RS, p on WS). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: | kfb (knit in front and back) Knit next st without removing it from left needle, then k through back of same st – 1 st increased |

| Tips to make the Phoenix Gauntlets turn out right. Reviewed by ChiefsnCardsfan on 2011-09-13 |

| This pattern is super simple and fast! It only took me 45 rows(including the cast on and bind off rows) to reach about 7 inches using the US size 8 needles. If you knit tightly and have medium to large hands, add a couple extra stitches when you cast on, or the gloves will be on the small side(it'll be difficult to get them on and to spread your fingers). Adding 2 stitches and binding off loosely helped the gloves fit my hands really well. If you are knitting them for a child, or somebody with small hands stick with the original pattern. Also, if you leave enough extra cast on yarn and a large tail when you bind off it won't be necessary to cut anymore yarn to sew it together. You can use what's already attached.
