GAUGE:

11 dc = 4 in. (10 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across.
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc here and throughout), turn. Working in front loops only, dc in each st across.
Row 3: Ch 3, turn. Working in back loops only, dc in each st across.
Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until piece measures about 50 in. (127 cm) from beginning.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail to seam ends.

FINISHING
Seam ends to make a loop. Weave in ends.
