Winding Trails Scarf
Lion Brand® Homespun®
5 1/2 ch-sps + 10 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in pattern. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size
specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be
sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what
the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person.
If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller
size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
Row 1: Sc in 4th ch from hook, *ch 3, sc in next ch, ch 3, sk next 2 ch, sc in next ch; rep from * across – 11 ch-sps at the end of this row.
Row 2: Ch 3, turn, *(sc, ch 3, sc) in next ch-3 sp, ch 3, sk next ch-3 sp; rep from * across to last ch-sp, sc in last ch-sp.
Rep Row 2 until piece measures about 70 (140) in. (178 (355.5) cm) from beginning.
Fasten off. Weave in ends.

Winding Trails Scarf - even more beautiful than the photo! Reviewed by Kellie S. on 2013-08-29
I love this pattern! I must admit that I find working with Homespun quite challenging, bit once past the initial foundation chain row, you only work into the chain spaces. I used the Prarie colourway, and I love the subtle colour transitions. I added 2 wooden buttons to one end, so that it could go from infinity and beyond! I used almost two skeins and had enough to make a cut little accent flower. Only negative? I have to give it away! Definitely will be making one for myself.
