GAUGE:
10 sts = 4 in. (10 cm) in St st worked in the rnd (k every rnd) with 1 strand each of A and F held tog. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION:

COWL
With 1 strand each of A and F held tog, cast on 64 sts. Join, being careful not to twist sts. Place marker for beginning of rnd.
Work in K2, p2 Rib for 1 1/2 in. (4 cm).
Change to 1 strand each of A and G held tog, and work in St st worked in the rnd (k every rnd) for 1 in. (2.5 cm).
Change to 1 strand each of C and G held tog, and work in St st for 1 in. (2.5 cm).
Change to 1 strand each of C and I held tog, and work in St st for 1 in. (2.5 cm).
Change to 1 strand each of I and B held tog, and work in St st for 1 in. (2.5 cm).

This is a really lovely idea. I used the cotton ease paired with a variety of wool ease colors. I changed up the colors sort of spontaneously and it looks and feels lovely. Easy pattern! Great work lion brand!
