GAUGE:

10 dc + 9 rnds = 4 in. (10 cm). Center Flower measures about 8 in. (20.5 cm) diameter. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

STITCH EXPLANATION:

beg-Cl (beg cluster) (Yarn over) 3 times, insert hook in indicated ch and draw up a loop, (yarn over and draw through 2 loops on hook) 3 times (2 loops on hook); (yarn over) 3 times, insert hook in same ch and draw up a loop, (yarn over and draw through 2 loops on hook) 3 times, yarn over and draw through all loops on hook.
