GAUGE:
21 sts + 26 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in sc using larger hook;
10 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) over Dc-Mesh pattern using larger hook.
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES
1. Shrug is made in 2 pieces: an Upper Half and a Lower Half. Each half consists of half of each sleeve and a center section.
2. Center section of Upper Half forms the shoulders and collar. The center section of the Lower Half forms back and sides.
2. The Upper and Lower Halves are seamed along long straight edges. Side and sleeve are seamed, then cuffs are worked. The shorter straight edges of the Upper and Lower Halves form the front opening.

I love this pattern and would love to attempt it. I'm not much of a "glitter" girl though. Anyone have suggestions for the best substitute cotton yarn to use?
