GAUGE:

17 sts = about 4 in. (10 cm) in zigzag pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

NOTES:

COLOR SEQUENCE: *Work 1 row with A, 1 row with B, 1 row with C, 1 row with D; rep from * for Color Sequence.
To change color, work last st until 2 loops remain on hook, yarn over with new color, and draw yarn through 2 loops on hook to complete stitch.

WRAP
With A, ch 288.
Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook (beginning ch does not count as st), dc in next 4 ch, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch, dc in next 5 ch, *sk 2 ch, dc in next 5 ch, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch, dc in next 5 ch; rep from * across to last ch, dc in last ch; change to B in last st.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sk first 2 sts, sc tbl in each of next 5 sts, (sc, ch 1, sc) in next ch-1 sp, sc tbl in each of next 5 sts, *sk 2 sts, sc tbl in each of next 5 sts, (sc, ch 1, sc) in next ch-1 sp, sc tbl in each of next 5 sts; rep from * across to last st, sc tbl in last st; change to C in last st.
Row 3: Ch 2, turn, sk first 2 sts, dc tbl in each of next 5 sts, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch-1 sp, dc tbl in each of next 5 sts, *sk 2 sts, dc tbl in each of next 5 sts, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch-1 sp, dc tbl in each of next 5 sts; rep from * across to last st, dc tbl in last st; change to D in last st.
Continue as established, rep Rows 2 and 3 and following Color Sequence, until 24 rows have been completed. Fasten off.
