Exact gauge is not essential to this project.

NOTES:

Carry colors not in use along side edge of work.

STRIPE SEQUENCE *Work 2 rows each with A, B and C; rep from * for Stripe Sequence.


WASHCLOTH
With A, cast on 5 sts. Knit 1 row.
Next Row: K2, yo, k to end of row.
Rep last row, changing color following Stripe Sequence, until you have a total of 52 sts.
Next Row: K2, yo, (k2tog) twice, k to end of row.
Rep last row until 5 sts remain. K 1 row. Bind off.

FINISHING
Weave in ends.

This is a great pattern and makes wonderful gifts for anyone you want something for.
I start with three stitches, knit one row
Pattern: K2, yo, knit to end of row repeat each row until (# of stitches you want to obtain size)
Then
K1, K2tgr, yo, K2tgr, knit to end of row
When you have 3 stitches remaining knit each stitch and bind off.
This creates an even pattern from start to finish.
I have made hundreds of these as I watch TV, travel on planes, etc. A great "little something" for anyone on your list.
