Easy Square Baby Throw
Lion Brand® Quick & Cozy
GAUGE: 1 Square = 10 x 10 in. (25.5 x 25.5 cm) BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

SQUARE (make 9 – 5 with A and 4 with B)
Ch 18.
Row 1 (RS): Double crochet in 4th chain from hook (beginning chain counts as double crochet) and in each chain across – 16 double crochet.
Rows 2-10: Chain 3 (counts as first double crochet here and throughout), turn, double crochet in each stitch across.
Fasten off.
FINISHING
Alternating colors, sew Squares into 3 strips of 3 Squares each, then sew strips together to make Throw.
Weave in ends. |

| Trying to start my first crochet project and this yarn was not an easy yarn to work with. I could not see where to stick my hook and ended up giving up. I had high hopes for this and maybe I will revisit when I become better accomplished.
